A large Korean Pharmaceutical company is showing keen interest in investing in Telangana: Korean Ambassador.
The just inaugurated cultural centre will start Korean Language teaching and will also promote Cultural Exchange programs
Hyderabad, April 20, 2018…… His Excellency Mr. Shin Bong Kil, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea today inaugurates The Office of the Honorary Consulate General of Republic of Korea at Hyderabad.
Mr. Suresh Chukkapalli, a prominent businessman in Telangana, was appointed as the Honorary Consul General of Hyderabad on November 1st 2017.
His Excellency Mr. Shin Bong Kil, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India, Mr. Soung Eun Kim, the Consul General of Mumbai and Mr. Shailendra Kumar Joshi, the Chief Secretary of Telangana jointly inaugurated the Honorary Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hyderabad today.
The Honorary Consulate General Office, located in Film Nagar(Korea House, No. 64, Road No. 14, Tel:23999999/24999999), heads a subdivision of the Consulate General office in Mumbai to protect and provide assistance to Korean nationals in the state of Telangana and facilitate trade relations by liasioning between the consular jurisdiction, Telangana and the Republic of Korea. It is also committed to promote Korean art, language and culture in the region through the Korean Art & Cultural Centre, which is also being inaugurated today in the same premises.
We will offer Korean language teaching in this centre. We will try to depute a Korean language teacher from Seoul, he informed. We will also work on cultural exchange program, the Ambassador added.
We have currently Honorary Consular General office’s in Kolkata, Chandigarh and Goa Besides Hyderabad. Hyderabad is a very important centre for us. Telangana Government is doing a very good job said HE Shin Bong Kil.
Addressing the gathering at the inauguration, H.E. Mr. Shin Bong Kil said that the Republic of Korea is committed to strengthening political and socio-economic relations with the state of Telangana. He also specified that the Honorary Consulate General in Hyderabad would result in deeper bonds between South Korea and Telangana in the prime areas of foreign affairs, science, education and culture, and boost the exchange of novel ideas between the people of Telangana and South Korea.
We have 200 plus Koreans live in Hyderabad. Samsung and Hyundai have offices in Hyderabad. A large Korean Pharmaceutical company is very seriously considering to invest in Telangana said H.E. Shin Bong Kil.
Needless to say, Hyderabad is a world city with a thriving IT industry alongside majore Pharmaceutical and Manufacturing industries. With an international Airport and world-class infrastructure, Hyderabad is moving ahead with lightning speed in all spheres.
Commenting speaking to media after the inauguration of the Honorary Consular General Office, Suresh Chukkapalli said “The full fledged Honorary Consular General Office is inaugurated at a time when Koreans are trying to improve their presence in the Telangana. Companies — LG, SAMSUNG, and Hyundai, which are the household names here and many companies like automobile Giant KIA are planning to establish in India. My job would be to foster the bond between both the nations and work towards strengthening the bilateral business and trade relations with emphasis on Telangana”.
It is a welcome development and both sides will benefit from this relationship.
